How do I sell myself and/or my business or business idea?

What a circle of life hey? What a vicious circle of life. We are born and then raised in a very happy, healthy home (generally) and then we go on to post secondary education. We spit out a ton of money for this education and once this has been completed, we are cast out into the world to be professionals so we can pay for the education, but...who is hiring someone without the experience? What does education mean if people only want experience?

It's kind of like this: I went to a party once and my wallet was stolen. In this wallet were my license and my debit card. No big deal. I had nothing to brag about in the bank anyway, and there was no pin anywhere in sight so I was not too worried...until I got to the registry the following Monday. I tried to get a new license, but it cost money...so I went to the bank to get a new debit card and/or withdraw cash, but was unable to because I did not have photo ID. You can see where this story is going...I went back to the registry...so on and so forth. It ended up working out in the end, but I think the fact that I am a girl and I cried had something to do with it. I highly doubt this will aide people in becoming a professional in whatever field they are "in", so if you are reading this; know that was not advice.

When I was younger I used to think that everything will work out in time, but now that I am older TIME is a big issue. You too? Keep reading because I have an idea.

With this world being an "Instant Gratification" world, maybe that is how people should go about getting their resume out there. Create a website and advertise your profession! Why not?! Get a whack load of business cards printed up...sure it is an investment, but if you can't invest in yourself why should anyone else? Take the initiative and show that you are what you say you are. If people pass you by and are not interested, just consider it a blessing that you are one step closer to being where you should be. If that means self-employment, GREAT! You already have a website and business cards.

At this stage of my life I have learned that most everything is a gamble when you begin it. Who was it that said, "You will miss 100% of the shots that you do not take"? Oh ya, Wayne Gretzky. Look at where he is.
